I am not a botanist, just a hiker with an appreciation for wildlfowers as I find them on my jaunts. My interest was grown especially since I started taking kids outdoors. Their slower pace and ability to find wonder in a random flower petal, caused me to really appreciate the small things that pop open on the forest floor.
